Job Description:

Manage the wor kshop service area function and
implement plans and programs in order to achieve
service targets in terms of revenue, profit and effective
customer satisfaction index, should report to the Service
Manager.
Managem ent Duties:
Manage the effective achievement of the
workshop objectives through the leadership of
the workshop section.
Supervise the work of mechanics to ensure that
the set workshop processes are followed so that
the work flow, quality standards, profit and
customer satisfaction index is maintained.
Conduct daily performance review meetings and
initiate appropriate actions to meet performance
targets
L eadership Duties:
Ensure the effective achievement of the workshop
operational and functional objectives through the
leadership of the technicians, quality controllers and
foremen
Operational Duties:
Ensure job allocation is done properly for
optimum utilisation of the workshop facility and
manpower
Assign monthly target to subordinates and
monitor their performance
Ensure delivery of vehicles with full adherence to
stated guidelines and check if job costing is done
properly
Monitor availability of the spares and other
consumables, and coordinate with Manager Parts
on the parts delivery schedule
Visit each location regularly to ensure smooth
functioning
Ensure upkeep of facilities, equipment, tools etc.
as per the requirement of the workshop to meet
set financial or customer service objectives.
Respond to operational demands quickly and
effectively and ensure internal cohesiveness
between all staff members of the workshop.
Face different situations whether on the customer
level and/or staff level
Establish and continuously review the workshop’s
structure, work flows and job responsibilities in
the workshop to ensure work is organised and
carried out in the most efficient and effective
manner.
Ensure that all the workshop functions are staffed
with the requisite numbers and calibre of staff to
meet its objectives.
S afety, Quality & Environment:
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality
and environmental management procedures and
controls across the workshop.
Facilitate the conduct of internal / external quality
audits, group internal audits and Customer
Satisfaction Survey as per the schedule
communicated by the Quality Controller.
Initiate prompt actions on the Non Conformance
Reports (NCRs) of the audits and close all NCRs in
the shortest possible time with any follow up
from the Quality department.
Ensure the adherence to the applicable Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Oversee submission of product quality feedback
to principals, check quality of product defect
reports and follow up with the Service manager
for resolution of product issues to ensure timely
and quality of service
