Basic Function
To perform an independent appraisal of Project,
Operational, Management and Information and
Communication Technology activities within the
company Legal Entity and assigned the company
Function in order to ensure the reliability and
integrity of the management information
produced within the various organizations for
management.
To perform independent appraisals and
evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of
the company Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
related to project
To perform independent appraisals and
evaluations of the adequacy and reliability of the
controls over those activities related to projects
and determine whether the organizational units
are performing their planning, accounting,
reporting and custodial or control activities
To review operating practices and controls related
to projects
To ascertain the effectiveness with which the
assets are accounted for and are safeguarded
from losses of all kinds.
To evaluate the effectiveness of specific
management processes, related to projects such
as, planning, budgeting, systems development, or
other processes which may cross organizational
and functional lines.
To ensure conformance with professional
standards, plans, budgets and schedules.
W ork Performed
Directs and supervises the activities of assigned
personnel Performs supervisory functions at the
Project Audit Expert level as established by IAD
Management.
Identifies those activities subject to audit
coverage, evaluates their significance and
assesses the degree of risk inherent in the activity.
Prepare the annual and long term audit plans
Reviews operating practices and controls with
regard to projects
Evaluates the effectiveness of specific
management processes
Schedules projects and staff assignments
Reviews and approves the objective, scope and
audit approach for each audit.
Approves the audit programs
Counsels and guides auditors and assigned
technical experts
Reviews and edits audit reports
Identifies factors causing deficient conditions
Performs project audits including close-out audits
Performs special reviews as directed.
Work Contacts
Has a contact with management at all levels up to
Director Level within the company and,
occasionally contact Senior Management
Coordinates audits with the concerned Business
Line Directors/Managers of the company
Independence of Operation
Reports to the Internal Auditing Advisor and the
Head of the Project Audit Section
Devises work methods according to general
directives, policies and processional audit
standards.
Work accomplishments are subject to managerial
reviews
متطلبات الوظيفة:
University Degree, preferably with a Major in
Accounting or Engineering and Professional
Accounting Qualification; ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA or
equivalent (Master Degree).
18 years relevant experience preferably in the
Project or related industries.
High level of proficiency in English; working
knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
