Job Description:

1- set manufacturing plant strategic objectives and work
with the senior management team to maximize plant
utilization and efficiency and to continually seek
improvement in manufacturing processes
2- Directly manage the works and indire ctly manage all
other function heads to ensure deliverables are achieved. To
work with the support function heads and procurement
manager on all Egypt related issues
3- Agree divisional budgets for all plant areas with the
direct line managers of support functions and monitor the
performance on a monthly basis. Raise any issues initially
with the indirect reports and then with their direct line
manager for resolution if necessary
4- Ensure there are appropriate m echanisms and
organizational structures to deal with routine operations,
problem solving and troubleshooting.
5- Work with sales and marketing ma nagers on campaign/
promotional plans and to ensure all manufacturing needs
are identified as soon as possible and plan adjustments
accordingly.
6- Prepare and present technical reports for the
Management Committee.
7- Evaluate and report o n all technical investment projects.
8- Ensure that all produced products are of the required
high quality.
9- Commun icate directly with licensors and suppliers for
technical affairs.
10- Managing pla nt resources within the allocated budget
against increasing maintenance demand due to normal wear
and tear of the plant.

Job Requirements:

1. A minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment,
preferably Pharmaceutical Production with at least 3 years in
a senior production management post. Practical experience
in the manufacture and packaging of all pharmaceutical
forms would also be useful
2. Ideally they should hav e 1-2 years laboratory experience
3. They must have a clear understanding and sound
practical knowledge of the principles of Quality Assurance
and GMP and a clear understanding and practical experience
of systems as applied to the pharmaceutical industry
4. The ideal candidate should have a broad range o f
personal skills and qualities including excellent leadership,
communication and interpersonal skills. They must be
numerate and have experience of managing budgets and
excellent organisational skills
