Job Description:

1. Ensuring the business planning cycle delivers an annual
business strategy by working with the VP’s to consider
market conditions, current achievement against plan etc.
Presenting annual strategy to the board for approval.
2. Ensuring the cascade of targets occurs from the top
down to all levels of staff and that this process is audited.
3. Active review and development of the Company Mission,
Vision and Values in association with the Board and Vice
President. Communication of the vision, mission and values
for Company to all staff and driving team briefing process.
4. Direct management of the four vice presidents to
achieve corporate goals
5. Building Company’s external profile both within Egypt
and overseas.
6. To Work at a senior level with other Pharmaceutical
Companies to promote best practice and leadership in their
field.
7. To ensure Company’s investment strategy delivers
desired returns through focussed management of the
portfolio and delivery of board directions.
8. To take overall profit and loss responsibility for the
performance of the company and ensure shareholder returns
are delivered against the plan.
9. To work with the board on strategic level decisions that
have a direct impact on the company’s ability to achieve its
objectives i.e. key business decision such as Company
acquisitions etc.
10. Key Authorities (Decision making)
11. All company’s budgets subject to Board approval.
12. Approving the annual business strategy and presenting
it to the board of consideration.
13. Final decision making authority for all operational
issues. The decision as required by the business.
14. Ultimate responsibility for strategic manpower planning
of the company.
15. Lead role and Boards representative in mergers or
Acquisitions, downsizing projects etc.

Job Requirements:

1. Graduate in medicine, pharmacy, chemistry or
accountancy (other subjects also considered) MBA preferred
2. 10 to 20 years’ experience of managing large scale and
diverse operations across multiple functions and sites
preferred.
3. Must have experience of running a business at Managing
Director vice president level. Should have pharmaceutical
industry experience.
4. Must have experience in compiling strategies and
ensuring the achievement of deliverables through excellent
leadership.
5. Should be a natural communicator, comfortable at
dealing with all levels of staff internally as well as public
bodies, government Ministries and other pharmaceutical
organizations.
