- Be excellent in his specialized area. (Trucks).

- Inspect and diagnose for quick efficient repairs

- Train, lead and help Mechanics, as required.

- Be prepared to work extra hours.

- Work in the field when required.

- Update/maintain technical literature in English and be able to guide the Mechanics through, as required.

- Ensure cleanliness, good housekeeping and a congenial working atmosphere.

- Be willing and capable of passing on his skills to Trainees under his supervision, in line with his Department’s Traineeship programme, or be receptive of being trained in coaching and assessing in the workplace.

Recognised qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering
•Should be able to read and write English to a good standard and also read and understand all Technical terminology concerning Trucks
